I try to read three categories of books at any given time: a work of fiction, a work of non-fiction, and an academic (or academic-adjacent work that challenges my brain.

I often say every genre has great music, and that I like songs more than bands or musicians. BUT—always a “but”—there are bands and musicians that transcend that notion. In alphabetical order, here are some.

I have a dump playlist that I listen to. It’s about 20,000 songs and gets auto updates from about twenty playlists. So, there’s a good chance of recency bias here. In alphabetical order.

I watch a lot of YouTube videos. Probably too many. Here are my personal favorite channels. In alphabetical order.

I listen to a lot of podcasts, too. Probably too many.

I don’t read blogs as much as I used to, but I do keep up with these. In alphabetical order.

As much as I love good movies, I can rarely watch them more than once. These are movies I can watch again when the mood strikes (and sometimes when it doesn’t). In alphabetical order.

I haven’t found that I love certain shows for a really long time. Some are too dense to watch more than once; others, the humor becomes dated. Instead, here’s a list of shows I’ve enjoyed the last couple of years. Again, in alphabetical order.
